I charge a flat fee for the full project, rather than an hourly rate, so you know how much you’re paying before I start.<\/p>

The quoted fee is based on what you tell me about the nature of the text – its length, the type of writing, and the level of proofreading\/proof-editing needed – and on how quickly you require the finished text to be returned.<\/p>

Texts with lots of specialist language take longer to proofread, as do texts with bibliographies, indexes, lots of footnotes\/endnotes, charts or graphs, cross-references, quotations, and so on. Sometimes I may ask to see a sample before I can quote you a fee.\u00a0<\/p>
